SAN BERNARD ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE will still award annual meeting prizes despite the cancellation of the meeting.
This year’s annual meeting was canceled due to the May 16 derecho storm that passed through much of our service territory, leaving half of our membership without power. The San Bernard EC Board of Directors decided not to reschedule the meeting. We will, however, hold a drawing this month to distribute the prizes donated by our annual meeting sponsors.
SBEC will draw names to award the prizes after the July 25th deadline. To be entered in the drawing, members can bring their registration card from the May issue of Texas Co-op Power to a branch office, fill out a registration form at a branch office or register on our website, sbec.org.
Please remember to update your mailing address, email address and phone number when dropping off your registration card so we can notify you if you win a prize.
Each membership is eligible for one entry, and all entries must be received by 5 p.m. Thursday, July 25. After the drawing, winners will be notified by SBEC personnel beginning the last week of July.
The grand prize this year is a Toro 42-inch zero-turn mower, and the second grand prize is $1,000 cash. There are more than 65 other prizes.
