Due to storm-related complications the 2024 SBEC annual meeting has been cancelled. On May 16, 2024, tornado like winds passed through our service territories in Austin, Waller and Colorado counties affecting approximately 16,000 meters. Our employees have been working around the clock to remove trees and rebuild lines to restore power to our membership. The Board of Directors and staff feel that restoring power to our members should be our first priority. We know that the Annual Meeting is an important event, however there are members that have been without power since 5:30 pm on Thursday, May 16th. SBEC employees and contract crews will continue to restore power throughout the weekend.
We will have a drawing for the door prizes that are donated at the Annual Meeting in the near future. Please continue to monitor the SBEC website and social media for more details.
