With the approaching winter weather, SBEC has implemented our Emergency Operations Plan – Level Two.  Systems Operations personnel will be staged throughout the SBEC service territory in preparation for inclement weather.  As always, the SBEC Dispatch Center will be manned 24 hours a day to take outage and emergency calls and dispatching crews.  SBEC will be monitoring weather and road conditions throughout the weather event.  SBEC will respond to outage calls as road conditions allow our crews to do so safely.

Our Generation and Transmission provider, South Texas Electric Cooperative, has also entered Emergency Operations and stands ready to meet the challenges of this winter weather event.  We encourage you to be prepared, as well.  Winter Storm tips can be found on the SBEC website: https://bit.ly/WinStormSafe .

If you experience an outage, please notify SBEC of your outage by calling 1-800-364-3171 or by using Text Power. You can learn more about how to report your outage also on our website: https://bit.ly/3gCgA79 . Once you have successfully reported your outage, please leave the phone lines open for other members to report their outages and emergency calls.  You can monitor the SBEC system outages using SBEC Outage Tracker on the SBEC website under our news tab: https://bit.ly/3WV2i7K  or by monitoring our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/sbecoop .
