San Bernard Electric Cooperative Prepares For Winter Storm Event
A winter weather event is expected to bring extreme cold temperatures with a possibility of rain or freezing rain to the SBEC service area over the coming weekend. SBEC continues to monitor the weather and is preparing for any outages due to the inclement weather.
Our linemen and vegetation control employees as well as contract linemen and vegetation control crews will be on standby for any outages that may occur.
Outages can be reported by texting “OUT” to (979) 865-3171.
Members may report outages by texting OUT to (979) 865-3171. Outages or downed power lines may also be reported by calling SBEC’s Bellville office and 24 Hour Dispatch Center at 979-865-3171. To help keep phone lines available for large-scale outages and emergency situations, we encourage members to use text reporting whenever possible.
If someone in your family is dependent on electricity for medical necessities, please have a backup plan should you experience an outage. If icy road conditions exist, longer outage restoration times should be expected.
SBEC’s Outage Map can be found at www.sbec.org . Outage information will be posted on SBEC’s Facebook page and can be viewed on the SBEC website, www.sbec.org .
